Preparation and condition reports for the Penny Siopis Retrospective at Iziko SA National Gallery were undertaken with assistance from an intern and also two UCT Honours in Curatorship students, Anya de Kerk and Gera de Villiers. Prior to the exhibition the artist worked on some of her paintings in the conservation studio providing particular insight into the relationship between the role of the artist and that of the conservator.
